Every year, on the18 of May, the INTERNATIONAL day Of the MUSEUM is celebrated everywhere in the world, with the purpose of distributed the message from the International Council of Museums (ICOM),  to the general public and to the professionals of the museum community.

The dinosaurs Museum of Salas de los Infantes, promoted by the Foundation for the dinosaurs study in Castilla y Leon, are added to this celebration, assuming the objectives and expositions of the ICOM. To them the constant objective is added to reinforce the function of social and cultural evolution of the museum.

For it, agreeing with the International Day of the Museum, the Week of the Museum is organized, in which days of opened doors, exhibitions, encounter between the personnel of the museum and the visitors are celebrated, aids, etc.
