Report (by Marta Casado) published yesterday (download in pdf here) Sunday in the ATA Supplement of El Correo de Burgos -The World- about Land of Dinosaurs of the Sierra de la Demanda and the Dinosaur Museum of Salas de los Infantes (Burgos , Castilla y León) as a key piece of this Land of Dinosaurs. It ends the same with the VIII International Conference on Dinosaur Paleontology and its Environment that celebrates its 20th Anniversary and will begin in the middle of this first week of September 2019.
The Sierra de la Demanda hides the remains of dinosaurs in about 150 sites (currently more than 250) spread throughout the region. Only eight have been excavated and they have given so many remains and four new species that overflow the Museum of Infant Halls. Four decades have passed since a group of fans began to review the archaeological and paleontological potential of the area. A wealth that is not only raw material but science. As an example the paleontological conferences that will bring together world experts in its 20th edition this week:
FORTY YEARS AFTER THE JURASSIC STEPS
LIFE 150 MILLION YEARS AGO (MUSEUM OF DINOSAURS OF CHILDREN ROOMS)
THE PANDILLA DE LA DEMANDA
20 YEARS OF INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC ENCOUNTERS
